Dear Polterguests,

I write Halloween music to be enjoyed the entire month of October. Such an enticing holiday at the end of such a beautiful month calls for celebratory music starting on the 1st, not confined to the 31st alone ... (though some of you have written to me, saying you listen to my Halloween music all year long, for which I thank you, and will put extra candy in your trick-or-treat satchels).

Here on my website, Trick-or-Treaters of all ages and backgrounds can find plenty of treats; just click for some of my free music downloads.

If my music finds a place in your souls, perhaps next to spiced cider, jack o' lanterns, chilly air, beautiful leaves, and fluffy cats ... then may I invite you to join my street team of P.U.M.P.K.I.N.S., and share with your friends about my Halloween Carols™.

Porchgoers Under Masks Promoting Kristen's Intriguing New Sound

For fun and information on Halloween history and my Halloween music recording adventures, come on by to visit me on my Facebook page !

Join my Email list to receive updates on my recordings, performances, and special announcements.

To make it easy for you to purchase my music, I have incuded links to iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby (who, by the way, is great at shipping international orders.)  If you would like to receive a signed copy of my CDs and a photo, go to my CONTACT page to send me a request.

Thank you for visiting my porch .... and purchasing my Halloween Carols. Your support allows me to continue producing more ear candy.  I hope every October is an enchanting one for you, full of music, sights, tastes, scents, and feelings that rapturously haunt and deliciously linger.

Happy Halloween!

Kristen

February/March 2013

Kristen's birthday is coming up soon (March 2), and she'd like to give a gift to YOU.

Post an original picture or meme on her facebook page that is funny or pretty or profound or whatever ...

... and all-around birthday-ish ... (keep it clean; naughty trick-or-treaters will be kicked off Kristen's porch) ...

... and to the three she likes best she'll send a signed copy of her CD, "Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven'" (international participation welcome; Kristen will send mail far and wide).

Ready ... go!  Post now through, oh, a little past her birthday.  Have fun.  Age jokes are totally allowed.  But do remember:

"I'm 37; I'm not old." -- Monty Python

Please tell your friends!  Help Kristen bump her facebook page birthday party above 6,000.  Thanks!  We love you!

Announcing the winners in a local (Orange County, California) elementary school contest to write a new verse for the traditional tune, "Ghost of John":

Have you heard of the ghost of Sue?
Swishing and whistling with a whoo.
Oooooooh!
Trying to frighten people with a boo!

- Anika

Have you seen John’s poor dog June?
She barks and howls at the midnight moon!
Oooooooh!
Isn’t it sad she died from a poisoned prune?

- Elliot

Have you heard of the Frozen Head?
Instead of skin, he is made of lead.
Oooooooh!
He goes through a doorway and under a bed.

- Julia

Have you seen the toast for John?
Long white bread with the crust all gone.
Oooooooh!
Wouldn’t it be silly with no crust on?

- Brook
